How To Stop Emotional Eating – Many of us have irresistible desire to eat salts or sweets after frequent intervals of time. The food cravings are the natural phenomena due to rise or fall of certain nutritional elements in the body. These food cravings sometimes exceeded to an extent that will cause the increase in the body fats. To shed the weight there is the need of check your brain and remark your body. Temptations offered by food manufacturing companies also increase our urge to take the chocolates and different snacks.

Many of us have habit of using foods as emotional crutch or support which results an increase in waist line and overall flabbiness. It can be overcome by addressing your emotional needs and satisfying them to make the weight loss possible.
Here are some measures can be taken in this regard:
  1. When you are going to satisfying your craving just stop and think why you are going to eat. Sort out the feelings either boredom, sad, happy, loneliness, or angry. Find out the true inner feelings and note down the emotions which leads you towards the food stuffs.
  1. when you catch the reasons of going toward the fridge or at vendors shop divert yourself toward something else as to phone your friend , browse the internet, study some magazine and any pleasurable activity unless the feeling of eating is passed away. Just do anything except eating without hunger.
  1. Once you recognized or acknowledged your feelings and emotions which lead your cravings try to solve them. Though it is not an easy task but you have to take steps for your physical health. For example if your cravings are due to anger then there is increase in quantity of stress hormones and adrenaline then running or doing aerobics dissipate these stress hormones and make you normal. If you are anxious then take relaxing bath, listening the soothing music or undergo the process of aroma therapy helps you to get rid of anxiety. Talking about your problem with your friend or family member or doing meditation also properly channelize in right way your negative feelings and emotional cravings.
  1. Change your way of thinking by changing your dependency upon foods. Before every intake take ten minutes for thinking that why you are taking this. Each day increase five minutes daily and do any thing else except eating.
  1. Find out the trigger points of eating, time of eating, types of foods for cravings, and observe that Is eating reduces your emotions which lead your cravings? For example combating with stress you take crisps to take hold on tensions under your jaws, but you divert the crisps with apples or carrots. These will help you shedding extra fats accumulating at your belly.
  1. Think about balanced diet as most of us eat only to satisfy our taste buds and take food stuffs which not fulfill our body requirements. This arises many unhealthy emotions and feelings within us as deficiency of magnesium make us sad and unhappy. So think before to eat that what is pouring inside the body and what needs of body are accomplishing by this food stuffs. Include all essential nutrients as proteins, good fats, carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins with lot of water in your daily diet plan.
